Citizens Advice Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole has continued giving advice to those in need throughout the coronavirus pandemic thanks to the tireless dedication of its staff and volunteers.

The team quickly rallied to ensure as many people as possible could be helped over the phone or webchat.

As part of Volunteers’ Week, which runs from 1 to 7 June, Citizens Advice Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole wants to thank volunteers for their contribution not only during this exceptional time, but throughout the year.

94 volunteers at Citizens Advice Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole contribute over 600 hours each week.

In the last year, Citizens Advice Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole has helped 13,002 people with 29,185 of problems, such as debt, housing, benefit and employment issues. 

Peter, a volunteer Generalist Adviser at Citizens Advice Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole said:

I love working directly with those that need our help, meeting different people and having the challenge of helping them, while learning new things all the time. I get a sense of doing something worthwhile for the local community using my own skills.
