Citizens Advice Bournemouth Announces New Brand, New Management and New Outreach Programme
Citizens Advice Bournemouth has heard the cry for modernisation from the general public and is pleased to announce that changes have been made to make the service better than ever.
Since its wartime beginnings in 1940, the charity established aims to provide advice for the problems people face and to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives; valuing diversity, promoting equality and challenging discrimination.
This October, Citizens Advice Bournemouth launched their new brand, dropping the ‘Bureau’ from the name and benefitting from a revamp of the website; www.bournemouthcab.co.uk. The website provides information on its services, campaigns and volunteer opportunities, with thanks going to Dorset based marketing agency ‘Sambecketts’ and funders for bringing about the changes.
To help reach and support more of the community, outreach services have been set up across Bournemouth. The new outreach programme helped 40 individuals in its first few weeks with more expected to come through the doors as their presence in the community grows.
Citizens Advice Bournemouth is now offering drop-in services (closed bank holidays) at:
- Town Hall, Monday-Friday 10am – 2:30pm
- West Howe Library, Tuesdays 9:30am – 1:00pm
- Kinson Hub Library, Wednesdays 9:30am – 1pm
- Boscombe Library, Thursdays 9:30am-1:00pm
Citizens Advice Bournemouth would like to announce and welcome Zoë Bradley as their new Chief Executive. Zoë has joined the team from YTKO where she held the position of Project Director. Having many years of management experience within the not for profit sector, she is a welcome addition to Citizens Advice Bournemouth in helping to achieve their campaign goals and in reaching the thousands of people who need the service’s help. Zoë Bradley, Chief Executive said, “I am delighted to have been appointed and relish the challenges of leading the organisation’s future developments. We have a dedicated team of Trustees, staff and volunteers who have made me extremely welcome.”
